2 Days in Cleveland

We spent all day Tuesday and most of the day today in Cleveland for testing for my bone marrow transplant. We had appointments with all kinds of social workers and financial counselors along with the medical tests and bloodwork and the dreaded bone marrow biopsy, which was this morning. It actually was the least painful one I've had and Dr. Kalycio did it because I told him I needed to be put out, so he said he would do it and it would not hurt. Well, I told him today if I need another one he is doing it! All of my heart tests and pulmonary function tests were fine, so I guess we just wait to hear what the biopsy report is. Last evening, we spent the night at Kyle and Erika's house. We just enjoy watching Kade showing off for us, He is so cute! We walked to the Dairy King and had ice cream and he was in heaven. It is so nice having them so close to the hospital. It's been a Godsend. So all in all it was a good trip and I am feeling confident I can do this. YES I CAN!

    Hi Cindy,
So glad to hear your tests went well and that the biopsy was better than your previous ones. I'd say it was time that things start going your way. It must be a tremendous comfort having K.D. Erika, and Kade so close to the hospital.(Nothing can cheer you up like a grandchild!) We are looking forward to celebrating with everyone on Sat.
    Love and prayers,

    Hi Cindy
So glad that the tests went well and I am sure the biopsy report will be a positive note also. The Lord placed Kyle and Erika at the right place at the right time. Their home surely became a haven for you and Kyle these past two months. See you Saturday---LET'S PARTY.

    Hi Cindy,
I couldn't sleep because of the storm going through so I thought I'd get online. I want you to know that I'm praying for you daily. I know alot of what you are going through because my son, Steve Wicker had AML and had his transplant 4/2003. He has been cancer free for 3 yrs. If you want to talk, let me know. I think of you so often. Yes you can!

    Cindy,
Oh, it is SO WONDERFUL to hear about your outings and enjoying time with family and friends, going out to eat etc. Gosh, you just sound like the old Cindy we all know and love. I can only imagine how full your heart must feel when you see your grandchildren, when Kyle came home, when you heard all about that walk. I just miss you so much Cindy. I haven't posted a comment in a while and for that I apologize. I have been ignoring the computer a little bit lately. Doesn't mean I don't love you and think of you daily. You are in my thoughts and prayers Cindy. I miss you so much!!! Maybe I can come to Sandusky and visit sometime before you go to Cleveland for the transplant. I do hope that the biopsy results are better than expected....the less chemo the better!!!
    Love you much,
    Kate
