Day 24

I had many visitors yesterdday, which helped the day pass quicker. Sister, Libby came in the morning and stayed and had lunch with Kyle. Then, Barb K and Barb D came in the afternoon. Brothers, Craig and Doug, along with Cindi, Pat, and neice Kelly came up in the evening. It was nice to see everyone and I wished I could go home with them. I also found out yesterday that I have a perfect bone marrow match, my sister Libby. Hopefully it won't come to that, but if it does it is nice to know I have a match. I had a pretty good day yesterday, so hopefully they will just keeep getting better. The "sunburn" rash on my hands and feet seems to be easing up a little and the nausea comes and goes less frequently. Just need to regain my strength. And I know I can.

Well, I am glad that your rash is slowly but surely subsiding. How miserable. I hate that you are so nauseated and sick. I hope that goes away soon too. I would like to make another trip your way sometime soon if that is OK with you. I really miss you. I know that you won't need it, but it is so wonderful that your sister is a match for the bone marrow. That is very special. The TTH girls ask everyday how you are doing. I only can tell them what I know, but you are thought of and prayed for very often....we love you and miss you terribly. Get well Cindy. I love ya!!!!

    Cindy,

I have been thikning of you and praying for you every day since I heard the news. And you probably know that prayer and me is something that hasn't happened in quite some time.

Finally had a chance to check your web site and was "choked up" about a dozen times from the comments made by your friends and family.

I love the boxing analogy and know you have already knocked those few bad cells that remained after round one.

Round two is when you scored the TKO!!!

As I was reading Zac's Jim Valvano reference, "Fooling Yourself" by Styx was playing on the radio. I found it pretty ironic because some of the words are, "Get up. Get back on your feet, YOU'RE THE ONE THEY CAN'T BEAT and they know it."

Those bad cells took your beating and lost. YES YOU CAN!!!!!! You already have!!!!!

Nice work Cindy and hope to see you around town sometime soon.

The little munchkins are taking a nap so I thought I'd drop in to say that I'm thinking of you. I am so happy to hear that Libby is a perfect match, even though you hopefully won't need her, it's a great relief to know that it is there if the need arises. Keep fighting and remember that we are all praying for you and thinking of you each and every day. I'll have the little ones say a prayer for you together tonight, they sure love their Nana.
    Love always, Erika

Hi Cindy - Your mother-in-law told me about your illness, treatment, and this blog. It's good to have a daily "update" about your treatment. Know that I (as well as all of us here at St. Mary's Church) have you in our thoughts and prayers!

Be strong, and keep up the good fight!

    Hi Cindy!
LOTS of good things for you today!
1.You had company to help the day go faster.
    2.The miserable rash is retreating.
3.My son is praying for you and also posted. You have worked a miracle for me, and I'm serious, Cindy. You keep giving without even being aware of it. What a lady!
    4. Marcie posted yeterday to you-how awesome!
    5. And the BEST news...Libby and you are a perfect match, if it comes to that. Keep on punching!
Do you have the time yet for Tuesday? We're going to keep a continous prayer chain going from 8:00 on. Kyle, I'll call you Thursday morning to drop the things off for Cindy. I'm hoping to be there around 9:30, if that works for you. I wish I could see you, Cindy, but I know I am carrying germs and I'm afraid to come up. Know that I am with you in prayer and in spirit. YES I CAN!
