Day 17

This is Kyle pinch hitting again. She has been nauseous all day off and on. I got here at 11:30 and we took a couple of walks and she walked on the treadmill. Dad and Marge came up this afternoon. Dad took his hat off and showed us his new haircut( a butch) for Cindy. Zac and Lauren are coming tonight. And Cindy is resting right now while getting a blood transfusion.

    Hi Cindy,

Sorry to hear your not feeling well. Your dad is so sweet. Jude said he would shave his head for you, OH thats right he has a shaved head, sorry. You know sometimes hair is a hassle. You should look into different colors, could be interesting. Just keep believing. I would keep visualizing Lauren's thought about the Cabana boy in Punta Canta. Take care sweetie. We are with you in our thoughts and prayers.

    Devotional thought:

"May he give you the desire of your heart and make all your plans succeed"
    Psalm 20:4

Gee Ab, a treadmill? Good Job! I saw a treadmill last week (at our hotel). I tried really hard to make it work but it was apparently tired. Found out later I needed a key for it (whatever). What a sweet dad you have. I teared up when I read what he did for his daughter... Ask Kyle what he hid yesterday when we took pictures. I guess he thought it was 5 o'clock somewhere or he's already on Punta time. Remember, take only one day at a time. Breathe In Breathe Out. Only Positive Thoughts. Love & Prayers to you & the whole family. Val

Dear Cindy, Sorry to hear this hasn't been a good day for you. Hang in there, just a few more days to go of the chemo. Like Diana said put on your boxing gloves and show those last nasty cells whose BOSS!! I'm so sorry this is such a tough thing to go through but YOU ARE TOUGHER!! Glad to hear you're able to do the treadmill for a little while. Still sending lots of prayers and love your way.

    Hi Cindy,
Just finished talking with your brother, Doug. He said you called him while we were at the Elks and he said you sounded great!!!! YES, I CAN----------remember to keep saying that over and over and over again. Only 2 and a half more treatments to go, Cindy. You're on the downhill slide of this now, kiddo. The kids and I will be saying our rosaries for you again tomorrow. Let me know the day and time of the next bone marrow test. Doug said it should be sometime next week, and we'll recite them during that specific time. Everyone at the lodge cares so much about you and are all sending you warm wishes and good thoughts. If you could only be "an elk" on the wall, you wouldn't believe how many people love ya. Yes, I Can and Yes, You WILL!
    G&J
P.S. Could you bring home the med that lets you have wild dreams and you get to see bright colors? Sounds WONDERFUL! Everybody wants some.

    Hi Cindy and Kyle,
Sorry to hear it's been a rough day . I guess the chemo has to make you feel this bad to make you feel better and get rid of all those bad cells. Just keep in mind we're all praying for the Miracle of healing.
    Thinking of you daily

    Hi Cindy,
Hope that by the time you read this you will be feeling better.I don't think the sun is going to shine until you're up and out of there and when you do it will be nothing but sunny skies. The amount of fight in you is truly amazing.(Not to brag, but my brother is pretty amazing too!)
We're leaving in the morning for Emerald Isle, so I won't be able to check your blog for a few days, but I will still be thinking of you and praying. I hope someone brings a laptop so we know how you are doing. There will be 16 of us in one house(including all 5 grandkids) so I might need a vacation when I get back.
Keep up the "can do" attitude.
    You rock Cindy!
    (((hugs))) and prayers,
    Daleen
