Day + 10

JUBILATION!!!!!! The magic school bus has reached it's destination and the pink boxing gloves delivered the KO. Libby's bone marrow has engrafted!!!!!!!! My white cell count skyrocketed to 1130. The Dr expects it to continue to climb like that. He is amazed that I didn't do the yo-yo thing where the wbc's go up one day and down the next. He told me this is early and my sister must have been the best match I could have found. OH, I thank the Lord for Libby every night and day. I also thank him for all of you who have taken this journey with me and have fought off those leukemia cells with your prayers and just plain determination that you need me here. Many times when I felt like I was slipping, you boosted me with your words and spirit. There is no way I could have done this without all of you! I know I am not out of the woods yet, but with my determination and your prayers , we are on our way to ful recovery. Oh, I almost forgot to tell you, I'm being discharged to the Hope Lodge on Monday! Alleluia!

    Cindy,

I am so excited that you are going to the Hope Lodge soon. That place is so warm and the perfect condition to begin healing. I can remember being up there to support a family member and how nice it was to sit around the fireplace and talk about all the wonderful gifts from God we have all been blessed with. Please know that you have an abundance of prayers heading your way from the west coast!

    Cindy,

Great news!!! You're getting out much faster than Steve did. Keep remembering his words "one day at a time" and you'll soon be home. I am so happy for you. You're always in my thoughts and prayers.

    Yay Cindy!
We are so very happy for you. We just came from Friday's after the wedding and Kyle told use you are moving to Hope Lodge on Mon. How excited you must be! It sounds like it will be a welcome change from the Clinic, although that was where you had to be to get where you are going. Praise God for all the good things He has done! You will have so many occasions to celebrate for years and years to come.
    Love and prayers,

Oh God, I'm crying so hard and don't actually even know you except through Jan and your blogs. (Although...your blogs kinda make me feel like I DO know you.) You and Libby will always have this rare bond and new life experience. That saying, "Tis always better to give than to receive," just evened out. I can't begin to imagine, but seems to me this must share the same plane with giving birth?!? The boxing gloves and magic school bus are great images, but right now all I see is you looking radiant in that pink scarf I saw in first blogs. Oh how you must look now!

I was touched that you mentioned the magic school bus, too, and so glad it got there ahead of schedule (I think it's good news quicker than expected, right?) I and those I enlisted still have you in our thoughts and prayers --- you and Libby --- Go out there and ENJOY!

    Cindy,
Just got home from Jillian's and Britt's reception. Oh, what a wonderful time. It was a good day all around. First, it is Mark's and my anniversary. Yeah!! Then we sat with Kyle, in church, and he told us the fantastic news. That was the first time I cried, today. I literally got goose bumps when I heard you were getting out tomorrow. Yippee!!!! Then, when we got to the reception there was this beautiful card on every table, explaining your battle and the support that everyone has given you. Instead of table gifts for the guests, Jillian and Britt are making a contribution to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society in honor of you!! That was the second time I cried. How awesome is that. Then, Brad got up to explain the history of "500 Mile" dance and said that this one was special because it was dedicated for YOU!! I cried again. The "brothers" did ya proud. Everyone was cheering and shouting, all for you. We love ya and look forward to the day when you are home sweet home.
    Love,
    Jan

Yahooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo! Bella did it! Bella did it! BELLA DID IT!!!!!!!! There was never any doubt in my mind that you were going to lick this once and for all! You have a family that wasn't going to let you go and friends that will be here for you in this last leg of your journey from darkness into the brillant light of God's love. I don't know why this happened to you, Cindy. Maybe it was to show us and to teach us all the truly important things we have-our health and the love of family. We can be stripped of everything else, but those are the only true gifts we have been given. Kyle told me what still lies ahead, but just think of what you have left behind. It's so amazing!!! You have a new birthday and now you have a new Thanksgiving date to celebrate, as well! If I knew you could eat it, I'd fix a turkey with all the trimmings for you and your family to enjoy on Monday! God is good! We will all get back to our individual lives when this is completely over for you, but a part of us will always remember the gifts you have given to us without even realizing it. We love ya, Cindy!
    Yes you did, my friend!
Yes you DID! YES YOU DID!
It came, it went, and YOU
    Conquered! What a woman you
    are Cindy Roth!
