Day 1

Admission was a long process, but I am officially a patient in room G70-16 at The Cleveland Clinic. 9500 Euclid Avenue Cleveland Ohio 44195. I have a lovely view of the construction site of their new heart center. (Makes me feel as if I am at TTH!) I thought I was going to get my Hickman Catheter placed today, but I am scheduled for morning. A new Dr came in this afternoon and explained in a little more detail what to expect. He was very positive and helped ease my anxiety, as I had a meltdown when we got here. He asked if I wanted to wait till tomorrow or start the chemo tonight through my IV. I said, "let's go", so I am starting chemo at 9 pm. (1 less day here) Ihave my laptop plugged into my phone line, so call my cell(419-656-0462) if you want to reach me. I have it on 24/7. Talk to you tomorrow.

    Hi Cindy,
Just checking in to see how your day went. Only you could be ahead of schedule for chemo. You go girl! I just dusted off my rosary beads (ok, its's not MY rosary, it was Denny's mom's so you know it's had a lot of use.)and said the rosary for you. God always listens to Jesus' Mother.
Love the pictures posted here. Alexa looked beautiful in her First Communion Dress. All of your grandkids are adorable. You have so many reasons to beat this thing and I am positive you will. Rest well.
    Love,
    Daleen

    Hi Mom,

Day one is almost over, or it already is depending on when you are reading this. I don't think a minute passed today that we were not thinking of you.
You are a true champion and have made it through many obstacles in your life, and this is one more. Just keep on fighting, that is number one right now. Do not worry about anything else. You have great friends and family to help you with ANYTHING you need.
    We will see you soon!

    Love,
    Zac

    Mom,
Iknow that this is probably day two because you have to be asleep by now or you better be after the day that we have had. We are staying at your house tonight because I have to go see Dr holliday tomorrow(yes I am going) quit worrying about me. I feel so much better after today. I have a great feeling now after talking with the doctor and seeing the change in you from being admitted to the time we left at 6. It was a little hard for Alexa and Alayna when we came back to your house tonight. They wanted a kiss goodnight from Nana. The cried a few tears. We told Alli that Nana was not going to be here that she is in the hospital and she said NO Nana Home.
Well, before I say goodnight I want you to know how proud that I am of you. You did sooo well today and now I truely see that you have the strength to beat this. You are focused and I know that you are going to win.I think going with you today helped me and I hoped that it helped you. We all LOVE you soo much.
    Love,
    Jess

    Hi Kiddo!
The countdown begins! It was great reading that all went well yesterday and that the doc helped walk you and your family through this journey. Just wanted you to know that 18 little ones prayed the rosary for you. They will be making their own journey this Sunday as they receive their First Holy Communion. We all know the great love Jesus has for children and how strong their paryers are. We will be reciting the rosary at least once a week for you until this is over. Let me know if there is a specific day you want, or need it recited. We love ya,Cindy. Stay calm and positive.

    Mom,
I am not surprised when I get on the computer every day to read your comments and see how many people are here for you because I know the impact you have had in every life you touch, but WOW what a testament to the woman, mother, wife, and friend that you are! I cannot tell you enough just how proud I am to have you in my life and to see the strength that you have shown through this. All of your little "angels" missed you yesterday, but we talked about how much we all love Nana and that in just a few weeks you'll be home and ready for hugs and kisses. Their prayers go straight to God's ears. I am looking forward to seeing you tonight and I love you very much.
    Love always,
    Erika
